The Pumpkin Patch- FAQ's
What is your Pumpkin Patch?
We offer you the chance to visit our pumpkin patches and pick your own pumpkin direct from the field.
To keep up with demand for all you wonderful pumpkin pickers, we sometimes have to replace the field with ready picked pumpkins from our other fields.
You simply turn up, pick your pumpkin from the field and then pay our helpful staff once you have chosen. Simple!
Our pumpkin patches offer a great family day out! Feel free to bring your picnics and eat them in the fields.....
Is it muddy?
Yes- you will be coming onto our fields to pick your pumpkins so it can be very muddy so wellies (or at least old shoes!) will need to be worn; but then mud is fun isn’t it?! Please do take care when walking through the field as it is muddy and uneven as you would expect on a farm.
If it is too muddy and wet and we have to shut the patch we will update our website and social media to keep you informed.
Do I need to book?
The beauty with the pumpkin patch is that there is no need to book and NO entrance fee! You just need to check our website or social media to check that we are open (as we may need to close if it is too rainy!) and come and see us for a fun morning/ afternoon!
When are you open? - Pumpkin Picking Dates 2017
The pumpkin patches will be open in 2017, further details to follow.
To be released in summer 2017!
Please check our social media and website for weather updates to make sure that we are open! (just incase of the weather!!)
If it is rainy and we have to close our patches, you can still visit our Pumpkin Trailer or Pumpkin Shed in wet weather.
So there are plenty of places to come and see us to pick your perfect pumpkin!
Is there Car Parking?
We do have car parking at both of our patches but they are fields so it will be muddy and car parking can be limited if it is very wet. Please ensure that you stick to all hard standing areas and adhere to the 5 miles per hour speed limit on site. Cars are parked at the owners' risk.
What do I need to bring with me?!
The WHOLE family, wellies for all, some gloves as the stalks can be prickly- especially for children; a bag/ cloths as the pumpkins will be muddy and a camera to take lots of snaps and selfies of course! All of the pumpkins are cut in the field so there is no need to bring any knives or cutters and these will not be permitted on site!
Do you take card Payments?
Unfortunately we are unable to accept card payments as we are in the middle of the patch so please remember to bring cash with you!
I have picked too many pumpkins what can I do with them?
Pumpkins are delicious believe it or not and there are several different ways to cook with them! You can make soups, pasta dishes, pies even cakes! Check out http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/pumpkin
